Am I Covered for COVID-19 During My Upcoming Cruise?
,Yes — Emergency Medical Care does cover you for COVID-19 while you're on your cruise, as long as:
- You’ve followed all federal travel vaccine requirements issued by the Government of Canada for entry and/or return to Canada, and
- The country you're cruising to isn't under a government-issued travel advisory to avoid all or non-essential travel due to COVID-19 at the time of your departure.

🚫 Not Covered If...
You're not covered for COVID-19-related expenses if:
- You're travelling to a destination under a Government of Canada advisory against all or non-essential travel (in effect before your departure date).
- The advisory is related to COVID-19, and you proceed with travel regardless.
If a COVID advisory is issued after you've already left, you’ll need to make necessary changes to your travel plans to remain eligible for coverage.
