# 🏢 How Can I Verify a Tenant’s Insurance Coverage?

If you're a property manager or landlord and have received a certificate of insurance from a tenant, you may want to confirm that the tenant has active coverage. Here’s what you need to know:

 🔍 What to Look For on the Certificate

When a tenant has purchased coverage, they’ll be provided with a certificate of insurance. On this certificate, you’ll find:

* **Certificate Number**

* **Group Policy Number**

* **Certificateholder** (Tenant’s full name and address)

* **Policyholder Information** (Typically listed as 2678562 Ontario Inc.)

📌 *Please note: The policyholder listed on the certificate is not a contact point for insurance questions.* Some landlords mistakenly Google the policyholder address or name and reach unrelated departments.

 💬 Who to Contact

If you need to **verify the coverage or have any questions**, please contact **Walnut Support** directly at:

📧 **support@walnut.com**

To help us process your request quickly, be sure to include:

* The **first and last name** of the tenant (as shown on the certificate)

* A copy or image of the **certificate**, if available

We can only confirm if the policy is active and valid for your tenant.

### 🚫 What We Cannot Provide:

* We **cannot** share additional details about the policy (such as specific coverages, premiums, or claims).

* For **any other questions** about the policy or coverage, you must contact the **certificate holder (the tenant)** directly.
