# 🕒 I've Just Purchased KOHO Tenant Insurance — Can I Make a Claim for Something That Happened in the Past?

If you’ve just signed up for KOHO Standard Tenant Insurance, here’s what you need to know before filing a claim:

❌ **Coverage can’t be applied retroactively.**  
Claims can only be made for events that happen **after** your policy has been purchased and is active.
