# TELUS Bill Payment Protection: Disability Coverage Explained

We often get questions from customers who are already receiving disability benefits (for example, long-term disability through their employer, or government disability benefits) and want to know if they’re still eligible to purchase the **TELUS Bill Payment Protection Program (BPP)**.

👉 **What’s Covered**

* If you become **disabled after enrollment**, the program can cover your **TELUS mobile phone bill** during your approved period of disability.
* This applies whether your disability benefits are being paid by: your employer (e.g., long-term disability insurance) or the government (e.g., CPP Disability, EI Sickness, provincial disability benefits).

❌ **What’s Not Covered**

* If you are already on disability **at the time of application**, you will not be eligible to make a disability claim under the program.
* The program does not cover TELUS **home services** (internet, TV, home phone) or devices/equipment.

⚡ **Key Point:** Bill Payment Protection is designed to step in if a **new disability occurs after you’ve purchased coverage**. Existing disabilities at the time of purchase are not eligible.
