# TELUS Bill Payment Protection — Missed a Payment? Here’s What Happens

If your payment doesn’t go through — no stress. Your coverage doesn’t disappear overnight.
You’ve got a **28-day grace period** to get things sorted before anything changes.


###### 💳 What actually happens

1. **Payment fails**
Sometimes a card expires, a bank hiccup happens, or life just gets busy. If your payment doesn’t process, you’ll get an email letting you know.

2. **We’ll try again automatically**
Payments are automatically retried a few times during the grace period — you don’t need to do anything right away.

3. **You stay covered**
You’re still protected during those 28 days while we’re trying to collect the payment.

4. **After 28 days**
If the payment remains unresolved for 28 days, your plan will be **cancelled automatically**, and coverage will stop. The cancellation date is the end of the 28-day period, even if you expect to receive funds shortly afterward. You’ll get a confirmation email when that happens.

Payment retry dates are set automatically by the payment processor and can’t be changed. A failed plan payment is separate from payments for your TELUS bill or mobile service.

Go to **Billing → Update Payment Method** and make sure your card details are up to date.
