Who Needs to Be Included on My Home/Tenant Insurance Policy?
📝 Heads up: This applies to custom insurance policies.
If you're getting custom insurance for your home or rental, anyone who owns the place needs to be on the policy. Yep — even if your partner or parent technically owns it but you're handling everything, their name still has to go on the paperwork.
💬 Why? Because the insurer needs to know who's got a legal stake in the property. It keeps everyone covered and avoids hiccups if you ever need to make a claim.
🏦 Got a mortgage or secured line of credit? We’ll also need to list your lender. This is pretty standard and helps make sure your coverage meets their requirements.
Have questions? We’ve got you — just reach out and we’ll walk you through it.
