# Why Can’t I Select the Tenant Insurance Start Date I Need?

If you're purchasing **standard tenant insurance**, you can select a coverage start date up to **45 days in the future**.

If you need your coverage to start **more than 45 days from today**, don't worry — the date selector is working as intended. Standard tenant insurance simply doesn't support effective dates beyond this window.
