Can I Get Bill Payment Protection if I am Not Working?
If you are already unemployed or not currently working, you will not be eligible to apply for Koodo Bill Payment Protection.
This coverage is designed to help protect your Koodo bill payments if your income unexpectedly stops due to job loss, disability, or hospitalization after you have enrolled.
Think of it like a safety net. It has to be set up before a job loss or work stoppage happens.
To qualify, you must:
- Be actively working at the time of application
- Have a minimum income (salary, wages, or self-employment)
- Be between 18 and 64 years old
- Have an active Koodo account in good standing
Not eligible if:
- You are unemployed, retired, on leave, or receiving disability benefits when you apply
- You do not have an active source of income
Insurance can only cover future, unexpected events. If a job loss or unemployment has already occurred, coverage cannot be added after the fact.
