Koodo Bill Payment Protection: Disability Coverage Explained

We often get questions from customers who are already receiving disability benefits and want to know if they are still eligible to purchase the Koodo Bill Payment Protection Program.

What is Covered

  • If you become disabled after enrollment, the program can cover your Koodo mobile phone bill during your approved period of disability.
  • This applies whether your disability benefits are being paid by your employer (e.g., long-term disability insurance) or the government (e.g., CPP Disability, EI Sickness, provincial disability benefits).

What is Not Covered

  • If you are already on disability at the time of application, you will not be eligible to make a disability claim under the program.
  • The program does not cover Koodo home services or devices/equipment.

Key Point: Bill Payment Protection is designed to step in if a new disability occurs after you have purchased coverage. Existing disabilities at the time of purchase are not eligible.
