🚗 Does Travel Insurance Cover Road Trips — Within Canada or to the U.S.?
Absolutely. Travel insurance covers you, not your mode of travel. So whether you're flying, bussing, or taking a road trip in your own car or a rental, your TuGo Emergency Medical Insurance applies as long as:
You're outside your home province, and
Your policy is active
Damage to your vehicle (personal or rental)
Roadside assistance or towing
Trip delays caused by vehicle breakdown
Injuries or property damage you cause to someone else (third-party liability)
For those, you’d need either auto insurance or a separate rental car policy.

⚠️ What Travel Insurance Doesn’t Cover:
Damage to your vehicle (personal or rental)
Roadside assistance or towing
Trip delays caused by vehicle breakdown
Injuries or property damage you cause to someone else (third-party liability)
For those, you’d need either auto insurance or a separate rental car policy.
