🚗 Does Travel Insurance Cover Road Trips — Within Canada or to the U.S.?

Absolutely. Travel insurance covers you, not your mode of travel. So whether you're flying, bussing, or taking a road trip in your own car or a rental, your TuGo Emergency Medical Insurance applies as long as:

• You're outside your home province, and

• Your policy is active

⚠️ What Travel Insurance Doesn’t Cover:

• Damage to your vehicle (personal or rental)

• Roadside assistance or towing

• Trip delays caused by vehicle breakdown

• Injuries or property damage you cause to someone else (third-party liability)

For those, you’d need either auto insurance or a separate rental car policy.
