🏠 What’s Included in my KOHO Standard Tenant Insurance Policy?

🛡️ Core Coverage

This is your “if something goes wrong” protection:

Bodily Injury Liability – Up to $1,000,000
If someone gets injured in your rental, this helps cover medical expenses and potential legal claims.

Property Damage Liability – Up to $100,000
Covers unintentional damage caused to the rental unit due to accidental events or vandalism for which you may be held legally responsible. This applies when damage is sudden and
unexpected — like a kitchen fire, a broken window, or intentional damage by others.

Medical Payments to Others – Up to $10,000
Helps cover minor medical expenses if a guest is injured at your residence, regardless of who’s at fault.

You’re covered if something happens to someone else at your place. Not for injuries to yourself.

🛌 Temporary Accommodations (Only Included if You Have Personal Property Coverage)

❌ Not covered for accommodations:

Voluntary moves

Renovations that aren’t tied to a loss

Repairs from things not covered (flood, mold, etc.)

📍 Real-Life Example

Your neighbor’s toilet floods and water wrecks your stuff? 🛁 KOHO’s personal property coverage can help you replace what you lost (minus that $500 deductible).

🚫 What’s Not Covered

Let’s be real — insurance doesn’t cover everything. Here’s what’s not included:

Injuries to you or your household

Floods 🌊 or earthquakes 🌎

Business gear or side hustle stuff 💻

Damage you caused on purpose 😬

Roommate’s stuff (unless they’re fam 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦)

Cars, cash, or your actual pets 🐾

Bug or rodent damage 🐜🐭

Mold or fungi damage to your stuff (unless you’ve got the limited liability add-on)
