📱 How Mylo Mobile Device Protection Actually Works


Mylo works very differently from other device protection plans — it does not track or store your devices. When you buy a Mylo plan, the coverage applies to you, not to a specific phone.


Here’s how it works:


• Mylo does NOT require device registration

There is no device list in your account and nothing you need to update when you change phones


• Your coverage is device-agnostic


Mylo doesn’t verify your phone model or serial number. As long as your plan is active, you’re covered.


• You get 2 claims per year


These can be for any phone you own at the time of the incident.

Example: If you start the year with an iPhone and switch to a Samsung later, you’re still covered without doing anything.


• Mylo covers 1 device at a time — but not a specific one


It’s essentially protection “for the person,” not tied to a registered device.


• AKKO registration is optional


If you register with AKKO, it only removes the 30-day waiting period.

It does not mean Mylo now tracks your devices.
