I Need to Add My Landlord, Property Manager, or Leasing Company to My Tenant Insurance Policy
My Landlord Wants to Be Added to My Policy
Trying to upload your proof of insurance and getting told that your landlord, property manager, or leasing company needs to be added to the policy?
For most Standard Group Tenant Insurance programs, adding additional people or companies to the policy isn't supported.
What Does "Add My Landlord" Mean?
Different landlords and property managers use different terms, but they're usually asking for the same thing.
You might see requests like:
- Additional Interest
- Interested Party
- Additional Insured
- Landlord listed on the policy
- Property Manager listed on the policy
- Leasing Company listed on the policy
There is no option to add these parties through your account, and our support team cannot add them on your behalf.
What Do I Need To Do?
If your landlord, property manager, or leasing company requires someone to be listed on the policy, you'll need to purchase a custom coverage tenant insurance policy that supports Additional Interests and similar requests.
